Feminism 2.0

Do you like wearing short clothes? Do you talk back at elders? Do you sit with your legs apart? Are you a bit too friendly with boys? Do you make your own decisions? And make your own choices? If you've ticked all the five points, congratulations, you are a bad girl. This is how society degrades a girl.

The majority of girls are never allowed to live life by their choice. Before marriage, they live life by their parent's choices, and after the wedding, by their husband's interests—this needs to be changed.

So much shame is reserved for girls. Not married, shame. Choosing your partner for marriage is a shame. Small wedding ceremony, shame. No career, considerable dowry, shame. No dowry, only career, shame. Speaking of dowry problems, shame, not speaking up, shame. You are taking your own life, shame. Society always judges every action of a woman.

Casual sexism is women eating after men at home. Women interrupted while speaking is told to lower their voices and watch their tone. They are not making space for them on the couch or at a table. They gravitate toward housework at all times. It's the little things too. These all things are programmed in women's minds from birth by saying be like "sita," a character from Ramayana.

People's mindsets toward women should change. These days everyone keeps judging women by their body shaming. Relatives start a conversation with body shaming. Skinny or chubby, every woman is good in their own way.

Do not make your daughter waste half her life waiting for a man just so she can travel abroad, get a job, dye her hair, and everything else. Never raise her to believe another flawed human being is her "ticket" to freedom or a happy, fulfilled life!

In marriage, if a woman has a problem, they tend to be adust in everything. Teach them that marriage is a beautiful thing, but also teach them that it's okay to walk away when it's toxic. Teach them that there's nothing attractive about enduring pain and abuse. And generally, some women are not interested in motherhood, but still, they are forced to have kids; their interests are not considered. But it's entirely their choice either to have kids or not.

Every woman should get equal rights with men. In fact, women should get a step higher rights than men.
